Earth isn’t the only planet with lost travelers—Spirit roasted me with one word: arrogant.
The other day, I was in conversation with one of my guides—a newer one who has the kind of presence that shows up instantly. No name given, just an energy that’s there, solid and unmistakable. I now refer to him as Green. That is the color of his presence. We humans need to name things and I could not bring myself to calling him “It”
We were talking about helping souls cross, the kind of work I’ve been doing here on Earth. He was telling me I will be asked to help non-human and non-earth souls who are lost. I made some offhand comment, assuming this was an Earth-only problem. And then… I got the nudge.
“Arrogant.”
Not in a harsh or condemning way, more like a cosmic eyebrow raise.
It made me laugh out loud. Because really—how could I assume we’re the only planet dealing with this? That’s like thinking only one town on Earth has ever had travelers that got lost. Of course other beings, galaxies, dimensions, and worlds would have their own souls who get stuck, confused, or afraid. Souls aren’t only a human thing—any spark of life can get turned around. Whether it’s a person, an elemental, a fairy, or something we don’t yet have words for, each deserves to be helped home (yes, even the ones that surprise us).
The funny part is, I wasn’t being “arrogant” in the egotistical sense. I was being human, stuck in the smallness of thinking my experience was the whole map. My guide popped that bubble with a single word, and suddenly the universe felt a whole lot bigger… and more humbling.
Now I see it differently. Earth is just one training ground. The work doesn’t stop at our skies. And instead of feeling overwhelming, it feels like awe. A sacred widening of the path.
